Meet Deken Letinich
Deken Letinich is a champion for Southwest Washington's working families, with deep roots in the community spanning three generations in Clark County. He understands that investing in workers and working families benefits everyone.
For years, Deken has fought on behalf of Southwest Washington workers, finding his calling as a dedicated union advocate. His commitment was recognized in 2018 when he was named Southwest Washington's Labor Council Union Member of the Year. In 2024, he successfully fought for increased workplace safety and better access to healthcare products on worksites for working families. In 2025, Deken joined the Columbia River Mental Health Board.
Deken is proud to have been raised in a union family and to have raised his own family in Southwest Washington.
WHY I’M RUNNING:
We need leaders with grit in Olympia.
We need leaders with grit in Olympia. I will be a proud Representative of Southwest Washington’s workers and working families. For years, wages have not kept up with the cost of living a good life. We must change direction and focus on the essentials that our communities are asking of us: affordability and opportunity.
Washington State is at a critical juncture, and the direction we are currently heading is failing working families. The ability to afford the basics of life—groceries, reliable childcare, necessary medical care, and yes, even the occasional family vacation or weekend trip—is rapidly becoming a privilege, not a standard for Washington residents. Inflation and stagnant wage growth, combined with rising costs for housing and essential services, are eroding the economic security of our community.
As your State Representative, I will be laser focused on making life more affordable, implementing practical solutions to lower costs and put money back into your pocket.
